"A few years ago I suffered with a bad neck & back, to the point I couldn't sleep. My GP wasn't helpful, yoga seemed like a great option to strengthen my back without being too intense and help with flexibility. At first I was self-conscious as yoga seemed more for girls but after a few sessions I started to see how good it made me feel. I am a stress-head day to day and I worry over things I don't need to. I have now been going to Meg's classes for two years and over that time my back and neck have improved dramatically, and so has my flexibility. I have noticed subtle things too, like how I've stopped biting my nails.
Yoga is like a weekly reset button for my mind and adds clarity and gratitude for everyday life. Sometimes I feel like I'm stuck in my own mind, my thoughts, my worries and my stresses swamp me down so much so that life feels mechanical, like I'm going through the motions, almost robotic because my conscious is stuck inside weighed down. Yoga brings me out of this "mode" and I feel more emotionally involved in life. I love to say "feel more and think less". Yoga has bought to me so much more than my initial idea of physical fitness. The pressures now of modern day society has made me realise that its ever more important to look after our minds and maintain a healthy mind set. I love yoga and am looking forward to where it will take me and how far I can take it, I'm even looking into a course to start teaching too!"
