The importance of connection.

Connection. It's pretty dang powerful. One study has shown that a lack of connection can be more detrimental to heath than smoking, obesity & high blood pressure. When we bond with people, face-to-face, eye-to-eye and skin-on-skin we thrive. Our immune system strengthens, we experience a decrease in pain and increase in oxytocin. Seeing, and being seen by another human being. There is nothing else like it. It wasn't until I was lucky enough to stay at a beautiful spiritual community, Inanitah on an island in Nicaragua that I realised the true potential. Holding hands and expressing individual gratitude before every meal, no phones to distract from meaningful conversations, hugs all day long and an incredible space to listen, be heard and grow together. So that's where the inspiration came to run a Yoga and Connection Workshop this summer so we can dive into this more together. We'll also be touching on elements of this during my Yoga Day Retreat too - so keep the 15th July and 19th August free in your diary. I'd love you to join me.
